Strange "side-by-side" error caling up speech recognition

I have Vista Beta 5383 installed on the 3rd partition on my 1st HD (after 2 X XP Pro's). Not sure if that has any bearing but I always get this error when attempting to access Speech Recognition "The application has failed because of its side-by-side configuration..etc" Any ideas why? Sound drivers were installed by Vista..Soundmax digital.

This is a known issue, Peter. Click Start>All Programs>Accessories>Ease of Access>Speech Recognition to start setup of Speech Recognition. Follow the yellow brick road from there.

Thanks...I can't even get in. I get another error saying to configure the sounds and audio devices and make sure they are working. Another error I got was that the necessary engine could not be created. I checked the audio panel and it's working OK...weird. Even my XP speech engine works, so this is very annoying!! I was looking forward to testing this "new and improved" version.
